In 2019 I got the chance to fly halfway across the world and spend 6 weeks in Egypt as a  student volunteer as part of NUS AIESEC.  

I learnt how to size a solar system based on expected solar irradiance, choose an appropriate inverter and battery configuration, and drill a well bore in search of water.

As a team of 15, we designed, transported and installed a 150kW 90-panel solar array to power submersible pumps in the Sahara desert for a farmer to irrigate his crops

Delivered 2000 liters of clean drinking water per day from deep wells for a small village
